A program created by John Argue. Several years ago, John led our
symposium and trained
occupational and physical Therapists in his movement program. He also
worked with Parkinsonians and their caregivers.

The Comfort of Home for Parkinson Disease
- A Guide for Caregivers
Authored by Maria M. Meyer and Paula Derr, RN with Susan C. Imke, RN,
MS. Not only does this book show you how to set up your home in a safe
and comfortable manner but it also offers helps for communicating with
doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who should be
on your care team. It is a most thorough presentation of information
you will need. Published in 2007.
The First Year -- Parkinson's Disease
This book, subtitled "An Essential Guide for the Newly Diagnosed" is
written by Jackie Hunt
Christensen and Paul Tuite. A patient/expert walks you through
everything you need to
learn and do. This book is a unique and comprehensive guide for all
those learning to understand and manage Parkinson’s disease. It was
found to be helpful even to those who have been in the disease process
for a number of years! Published in 2005
Living Well with Parkinson's
Disease
A 2007 publication by Gretchen Garie and Michael J. Church -- a married
couple who both have young-onset PD. Quite comprehensive, very readable
and highly practical.
What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About
Parkinson's Disease
This book, published in 2003, by Jill Marjama-Lyons is subtitled "A
Holistic Program for Optimal Wellness." It is especially good at
discussing alternative therapies.
